Watersports
People have been enjoying Hardwick Watersports for many years.
We are open to both the public (with prior booking only) and guests at Hardwick Parks.
Water sports will be available daily from Saturday 15th April – Saturday 8th October 2023, from 10am.
For anyone wanting to have an action-packed, adrenalin-filled experience, we are the place to come. We offer a range of watersports activities, all operated from the Watersports Centre. Our Ringo Rides are our most popular activity, where you can ride on your own or with up to 3 people at a time. A great fun-filled ride 2 times around the lake, with a dip in the water at the end!
We have our own dedicated area for paddle boarding, which is an incredibly easy water sport to master for any age and ability. We have 12 paddle boards to hire, by the hour. Come on your own or with your friends – you’re guaranteed a great experience.
If you’re looking for a more relaxing sport, then maybe a single or double kayak would be your thing. Enjoy a leisurely paddle around the outskirts of the lake, taking in the wildlife as you go. Remember our boat is in use throughout the day so you MUST stay at the perimeter. All our own activities include the use of a lifejacket, which must be worn at all times.
Wondering if you can bring your own equipment?
If you have your own Paddle board or Kayak then you are welcome to launch these at the Watersports Centre during opening hours. Please note, SUPs and rigid hull kayaks cannot be used in swimming areas – please launch these at the watersports area only. This does incur a charge of £25 a day per board/kayak. We also ask that you bring your own life jackets for anyone using your equipment, which must be worn at all times.
For prices and more information on any of our watersports please visit the Activities page.

More about Watersports
Our experienced coaches are on hand to offer expert insight and advice, and you can find them from 10am daily in the Watersports Office, where they train and tow from.
We have something for all ages and abilities and offer a range of activities both on a board and on your feet! Learn the basics, improve your technique, or learn some new jumps and tricks – all whilst having an amazing time out on the water.
Pop in during your stay and have a look at what’s on offer or visit our Activities page for full listings and prices. Ideally please call our team to discuss any enquiries.
